Last updated: October 24, 2026. Version: 2026-10-24-v01-test.
1. Who is responsible
Editing Service is run by Puggers Video Production Ltd., British Columbia, Canada. We’re responsible for the personal information described here. Our privacy officer is David Balista, reachable at david@puggersvideoproduction.com.
2. What we collect
Contact and business details: your name, email, business name, the platforms you post on and the answers you give in our application and onboarding forms.
Your footage and brand material: the video, voice and likeness of you and anyone in your footage, transcripts made from it, your logos, fonts and brand notes, and the shorts we make.
Billing details: your plan, invoices and billing address. Card details are entered with our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Messages and feedback: emails, revision notes and approvals, including when a preview was viewed or approved.
Website data: basic, privacy-friendly analytics about visits to our website. No advertising pixels or Google Analytics are configured for this TEST policy build.
3. Why we use it
To make, review and deliver your shorts; to run your plan, billing and delivery calendar; to send you the emails your plan needs (previews, reminders, receipts, renewal notices); to answer you; to keep our records as the law requires; and, if you haven’t opted out, to show your shorts in our portfolio (Terms, section 11).
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use your footage to advertise anything other than our own work.

Working with transcripts, briefs and messages to prepare edits and emails, always reviewed by a person
Transcription and person detection for editing run on our own computers. Some providers store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. Each provider is bound by its own data processing terms; for information from the EU or UK, transfers rely on the provider’s EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (and the UK addendum). Canada itself holds an EU adequacy decision for commercial organisations. Where a provider offers a setting that stops it training its models on customer data, we use it.
5. How long we keep it
Client footage, project files and finished shorts: deleted 30 days after your plan ends, or sooner if you ask (section 6).
Sample applications: footage from an application we decline is deleted within 30 days of the decision; footage for a sample we make is deleted 30 days after the sample is delivered unless you become a client.
Billing records: kept for 6 years, as Canadian tax law requires.
Emails and notes: kept while your account is active and for 2 years after, then deleted.
When files are deleted, we confirm it by email. Anything you’ve downloaded stays yours.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for portfolio or marketing. Write to david@puggersvideoproduction.com and we’ll reply within 30 days. Deleting footage while a plan is active means we can’t edit it.
If you’re in the EU or UK, you also have the rights to data portability, to restrict processing and to object to it, and our legal bases are the contract with you (delivering the service), legal obligations (records) and our legitimate interest (portfolio, which you can opt out of). If you’re in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, you have the rights that law gives you; we don’t sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your local data protection authority.
7. People in your footage
You’re responsible for having the consent of everyone who appears or speaks in what you send us (Terms, section 12). We use their image and voice only to make your shorts, and we never show a guest or third party in our portfolio without their permission. Please don’t send footage of children unless you’re their parent or guardian or have that person’s written consent.
8. Keeping it safe
Client folders are private, previews are watermarked with downloads off until you approve, access is limited to the people and services that need it, and our accounts use two-factor sign-in. If a breach puts your information at real risk of significant harm, we’ll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
9. Changes
We’ll post any change here with a new date, and email active clients about changes that matter.
